Silver Star Mountain
Access: Silver Star Mountain is most commonly accessed east of the hairpin on HWY 20 at a pullout where the road crosses over the Silver Star Creek. There is a trail heading north from the highway that is often hard to first follow. It generally stays to the east of the creek but you may cross over if the going gets steeper.
Route Description: Follow the creek to an upper basin and then climb right on lowe angle slopes till you can traverse left and ascend 1 of the three gullies that take you to the glacier. Above the glacier you have a few hundred feet of booting to get to the rocky summit that requires some scrambling that you may want at handline for this. Like most things in WA Pass - this ski is excellent when the pass opens.
