Regular Route on Slick Rock 5.6  ( McCall Idaho)

Description:  After doing Regular Route on Super Slab we came across a best 5.6 routes in America article and it called out the Regular Route on Slick rock, which was only a short detour on our trip home.  So we left the Sawtooths a day early to see what this climb was about.  Note there is great dispersed camping on the access road.  As you close in, you see a towering granite slab, rising nearly 1000' out of no where.  Another short scramble approach and we were at the ibase - looking at 50-100' before the first piece.  But the route is very low angle that it felt like a scramble and the run-out not an issue for a confident 5.6 climber.  More easy scrambling and you get some old school 5.6 offwidth climbing.  A few tricky moves to get over or around bulges at times, but other than that the route was fairly straight forward.  Chossier than its sister in the sawtooths and less scenic, but a fun day out for sure if looking for a long multi-pitch. Worth a sidebar if your in the area, but not worth a trip in itself.
